Dr. Husu received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Arizona School of Medicine Tucson. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After residency, Dr. Husu completed a pain medicine fellowship in the Departments of Rehabilitation Medicine and Anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Lastly, he completed an addiction medicine fellowship at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He is currently an Assistant Professor, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in the H. Ben Taub Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas and an Instructor of Medicine (Clinical Educator Track) in the Department of Clinical Sciences, Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, North Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Husu currently integrates addiction medicine into his interventional pain management practice, the latter of which consists mainly of spine medicine, but also includes headache, abdominal pain, and musculoskeletal pain management. In his leisure time, he enjoys cycling, mountain biking, and studio cycling with his wife.
